1 (3s): Hello everybody. You are listening or watching Chatting with Candace. I'm your host, Candice Horbacz. And this week we are doing something a little bit different. Normally we have a guest, I think I've only done one or two Solo casts this entire podcast, which is, you know, more than two years old. At this point, it's not my strong suit. I definitely still get a lot of nerves. I don't have anything written out. It's usually I feel inspired, or things kind of seem to lead in a way where I feel called to do Solo episode. I had a lot of spiritual influencers that were scheduled for this month. 1 (47s): I was booked up, I was gonna work my butt off in November and then take, you know, all of December off to enjoy that with my family. And then for one reason or or another, most of my guests fell through. And yesterday I was supposed to record with somebody. And admittedly, I need to be doing better research before I have guests on. Sometimes I'll overlook certain things I disagree with because I think that I can find value in other areas. And I think that that's important. It's to keep a balance between what's for me, what's not for me, and not to write off someone entirely, because they're not perfect for you. And very few people are, if anyone at all, right, including ourselves. 1 (1m 26s): So it's not to judge people on the things I disagree with. It's to take them as a whole and say, are they a good person or a bad person? Do they have something valuable to offer? Can I learn from them and then have them on or not? And I feel like I, when it comes to being more strict and more diligent as to who I come on, it's especially, I hate this word, and I'm, I don't, don't have a better alternative. I'm gonna say Platforming. And typically that's used when you have someone who's massive and they go on a show and it's controversial, and they're like, how could you platform this person? But this person already had a platform, right? So you can't platform someone who's already successful in their own, right? There are scenarios where you have someone who is not necessarily successful or popularly known yet. 1 (2m 11s): So to bring them onto my show would be Platforming in, in that regard, regardless, because I don't, I don't think it necessarily depends on how popular the person is, but I think it's especially popular if that person hasn't caught traction yet. Is, does this person represent the values and principles that I want to put into the world, that I want to instill for my children, that I hope to present to you, the listener and myself, right? Holding yourself accountable. And if they don't have the same values and principles, then I think I shouldn't have them on, regardless of if there's this one little manifestation trick that they can teach you, or they're really cool with psychology, or, you know, plug and play, whatever that thing is. 1 (3m 1s): So that's a very long-winded way of saying the guests that I was supposed to have on. I went to look at their profile. And it's a lot of the same critiques that I have about the spiritual community, which is, it seems to be detached from reality. It's this place of virtue signaling and blind compassion, almost weaponized compassion so that you can feel good about yourself. You can convince yourself in the world that you are the good guy, because you feel the most, you love the most. You have pushed your ego aside the most. And it's exhausting, and it's nauseating, and it's, again, it's detached. 1 (3m 42s): Good and evil are very real in this world. We live in a world of polarity, right? There's hot, there's cold, there's night, there's day, there's right, there's wrong, there's good, there's evil that exists. So utopia's not going to exist. And I think that some of these people in this community get to a place where everything is kumbaya, and all you have to do is meditate for peace. That's bullshit. And I don't support that, and I don't support this constant oppression Olympics. And you know, who's been wronged the most throughout history? It's do the next right thing. Now, regardless, a good person does the right thing regardless. 1 (4m 25s): It doesn't matter how someone else behaves to you, you're accountable to yourself. And those are my principles. So with that being said, I found a great example. I should say my husband found a great example last night on the couch. He of this post, this is not the guest, by the way. This is this person. I don't know. This person never was scheduled, never will be scheduled. But this is what's wrong with the spiritual space summed up in one clip. And I'm not just picking on him, right? There are endless examples of content just like this out. So we're gonna roll that footage and then we will break it down. I'd love to know what you think, right? I, I'm always open to feedback. 1 (5m 5s): I'm always entertaining the possibility that I am wrong. My opinion is wrong. I'm open to that feedback. So please let me know what you think. But let's open up that clip. Let's play it, and then we'll get into why. I've got so many opinions about it. 2 (5m 20s): ING 1 0 1. So I put out a video the other day around this Israeli Hamas war, and it was really talking about how we can go within and become wildly energetic within ourselves between the divine, feminine and masculine aspects of ourselves, the energy around us to be able to really start stepping into a different lens of abundance. Somebody then jumped on the comments and said, you're totally spiritual bypassing this entire thing. And it really had me go within to think about, well, is this actually spiritual bypassing? What does that specifically mean? And maybe it was hell, I don't know. But the one thing that I did recognize within that opportunity is the fact that when we go into our hearts and we set our intentions and we start to then make determinations off other people think of us, and we lose ourselves into that, then we end up taking ourselves away from our own truth and that spiritual bypassing in ourselves. 2 (6m 10s): Like, if I actually take myself away from my truth by taking somebody else's fear and applying it to my life in order to make changes, I'm actually going through spiritual bypassing. And then I asked myself the question, did I do that in that video? Did I actually spiritually bypass what was taking place over there in Israel and what the Palestinians are going through? And I have to ask myself the question, I don't believe that I did, but if I did, I wanna apologize to those of you that are going through the suffering and just say that I'm sorry. But also recognizing that we are infinite beings and we do have this really expansive wholeness, and we can move into a state of love that is completely different. And maybe that's the only lesson that we need to think about here. Thank you. And I love you. 1 (6m 51s): Look, I'm nauseous. I don't know about you. Let me know what you thought about that video. And if you couldn't watch it, if you were just listening, this man is so smug during the video. He is laughing, he's chuckling, he's smiling. Just while you're talking about attempted genocide, it's no big deal. And here's the thing, I'm a mother. I'm a mother. I have a spot in my soul that will always want to protect children. It is something that gets awakened on a very primal level for mothers that are somewhat even awake, right? Like it is in us to protect children at all costs. 1 (7m 33s): That being said, do you think that, you know, during World War ii, it would've been appropriate to say what the Germans are going through. You know, gotta keep in mind for those, those poor Germans, the fact of the matter is, anyone that supports Hamas, who apologizes for Hamas is evil. What they did on October 7th was evil. And we have become so detached and so worried of any kind of feedback from anyone. 1 (8m 14s): Like, how dare you, your opinion? You don't know. It's complicated. It's not complicated. It's not complicated. There is endless footage that they want you to see. They filmed it and released it with the intention of showing you how evil this could be, right? There's no hiding. They don't want to, they don't think there's anything wrong with anything that they did. So go ahead, go watch all of that footage and try to come up with an, it's complicated justification for any of that. There's not one, oh, they're backed into a wall. No, no, no, no, no, no. Just simply no. So this whole moral equivalency is trash. And I think people are doing it. 1 (8m 55s): Some people probably believe it. I think other people are also doing it as a virtue signal. I am so enlightened that everything is the same. All people are the same. We all wanna take care of our children. We all wanna make sure that they have a better life than we did, that they have clean drinking water, that they stay warm and fed, that we can build the infrastructure. We know that's not true, right? Hamas has had billions of dollars that they have taken from their people to spend on terrorism. So not all people have the same values. And we need to look at people who have an utter disregard for life, for children, for sovereignty, for freedom, and maybe not tolerate that. 'cause they're sure not tolerating us. 1 (9m 39s): Another issue is this idea of our truth. My truth. That was said a couple times in the video, this detachment from a universal truth. And they'll try to use quantum physics to say, well, if you look at split theory or quantum entanglement, everyone has a different reality. Sure, sure, sure, sure, sure. Bring it back down. Ground yourself a little bit. We can both look at this curtain and say, it's green, right? You might have a different shade than I do, but we need to be able to say, this curtain is green. We need to be able to recognize evil for the obvious atrocity that it it's, and call it for what it is, and not be scared to hurt feelings. So yeah, I have no patience for anyone that's sympathizing with evil, that's sympathizing with terrorism, that's sympathizing with anyone that supports those ideologies. 1 (10m 25s): And I'm not saying every single Palestinian is a terrorist. It's not. I'm saying before anyone jumps to that into the comments or says that every Palestinian or every Arab is supporting of Hamas. Obviously I know that that's not true. But what I am saying is that there is a vast difference between people that are intentionally trying to save lives by sending out notice, by getting thousands of women and children out before they do any attack, versus other people that are quite literally using people as human shields. There's a difference. If you can't see that difference, then that's really alarming. And I don't even know if you can come back from that. I don't know if you can come back from that. I don't even know if anyone's home, if that's your perspective, if you think that those two things are the same. 1 (11m 7s): So I'm exhausted with the spiritual community. I need more people to stop caring about the comment section, to stop caring about offending someone. Especially when we're talking about good and evil. There is no transcending the human condition. I think you came here for a reason to have this human experience. And what I consider spiritual bypassing is bypassing the human experience. It's the same thing. So to stop denying humanity and all of its ugliness and to do the right thing, do the right thing. 1 (11m 48s): When it's unpopular, that's the only time that it matters. It's very easy when the quote right thing is in alignment with group think. But for some reason, when it comes to the Jewish community, they're just allowed to be violated. They're allowed to have people call for them to be exterminated. They're allowed to have their women raped, they're children killed, and they're expected to, to not do anything, don't retaliate. You deserved it. How does that make sense? Yeah. So enough with the bypassing. 1 (12m 28s): Thanks everybody. Now I'll see you next week. Maybe we'll do another Solo. We'll see.
