0 (0s): Hello everyone. You are listening or watching chatting with Candace. I'm your host, Candice Horbacz. We are going to jump straight into this week's episode. This is gonna be our weekly roundup and I'm so glad that I'm recording later this afternoon. It is Monday, January 6th. It's basically a national holiday in case you didn't know. But to start the celebrations off, we are going to ring it in with Justin Trudeau announcing his resignation. 1 (30s): So last night over dinner, I told my kids about the decision that I'm sharing with you today. I intend to resign as party leader, as prime minister after the party selects its next leader through a robust nationwide competitive process. Last night I asked the president of the liberal party to begin that process. This country deserves a real choice in the next election and it has become clear to me that if I'm having to fight internal battles, I cannot be the best option in that election. 0 (1m 12s): I am so surprised. Really this is a big win for Canada though. Let's see what else we have on these notes. We have guy ruins the vibes 12 seconds into the new year. This should be good 2 (1m 26s): Guys. There's like less than a minute less of 2024. Come here. 0 (1m 59s): He just stole all the fun. He's just waiting. If you have three girls in a huddle and they're jumping around with their phones, don't interrupt. They're super busy. They're not there trying to get a guy, even if she's in a crop top. There's also this thing where, where men fail to understand that women dress for themselves and sometimes for other women more often than they dress for men. And if you have any questions about that, just see how they dress before a hot yoga class or a Pilates class especially. 0 (2m 45s): It's not for the men. Usually I dress for the men typically. I will admit that. But most women do not dress for men. They for themselves or for women. Little boy asked for sewing machine for Christmas and the first thing he made, then the first thing he made was for his sister. This sounds cute. We're trying to go for uplifting content to start off the new year. 4 (3m 7s): Two, 5 (3m 8s): One. 4 (3m 9s): Okay, Ethan Strong guys. 5 (3m 10s): It's a sew, sew machine. 6 (3m 14s): So this is the stitch and this, 4 (3m 18s): Yeah, there we go. Should we show Penelope? Yeah. Like what Ethan made. Oh look, 0 (3m 33s): He made bedding for her stuffies. 4 (3m 35s): What did he say to your brother? Thank you. 0 (3m 38s): Oh my gosh, 4 (3m 39s): That's so cute. 0 (3m 42s): This poor Dog needs a lawyer. And there's real journalism here folks. Journalism at its finest. Mom 5 (3m 52s): Come up. Who you 0 (4m 14s): Dog's telling on him? No, can't trust an Asian. This is how your ex-wife comes to pick up her kids from the, this is how an ex-wife comes to pick up her kids from the father's house. This better be uplifting. Oh, it's mature content. She is pissed. 0 (4m 54s): Nice lady. And then your kids answer the door. 4 (4m 57s): What is all this? What is all this? 0 (4m 59s): Whoa. It's amazing that you're divorced lady. She came in, starts kicking his packages around, banging on the door and then her two boys answer it. So they probably saw that behavior and then she starts kicking the stuff in front and starts yelling at the boys. Do you think that this is gonna lead to happiness or these boys having a great relationship with you or seeing you as the good guy in the relationship? Or do you think that they probably don't wanna leave dad's house already? I have no opinion on people getting divorced or not. I think if you're going to do it and there's kids involved, but you better show the fuck up and grow up and not do any of this because your kids deserve to see mature adults still having a an amicable relationship and not doing this petty, petty infighting. 0 (5m 49s): It makes no sense because who's gonna suffer are the kids and you are gonna pay for it on the backend when they're adults and they can make their own decision. There's this quote that I read and I remember, I try to remind myself of it all the time. If I feel like I'm not showing up as the mom that my kids deserve, and it's someday your kids are gonna figure out who you really are and it's to say there is this window of this beautiful haze that they have where you are a rock star to them and you can do no wrong whatsoever, and one minute you could lose your temper and the next they forgive you immediately without a, without any effort. 0 (6m 30s): There's no relationship in the world like this where you can have such grace given to you by like these beautiful little beings. But someday that veil is gonna be lifted and when you have shitty behavior, they're going to see it. If there's a pattern of this shitty behavior and they see how you interface with everyone else out in the world and how you treat waitresses or the cashier or your ex-husband or your mother-in-law or whatever it is, eventually they will see you so you can fool them for a little bit. But eventually, eventually you're gonna pay on the backend. And if you wanna be one of those adults that ends up in a house by yourself and your kids don't wanna visit, and if they do, they do it so begrudgingly. Or you call and they're like, oh, it's my mom calling and they roll their eyes or it's my dad calling and they don't pick up. 0 (7m 12s): You did that. Just remember you did that with enough of these moments. You did that. Boy how we flipped, we were on a positive note. Biden being Biden. So back to funny. Let's come back up. Let's do that together. 7 (7m 26s): Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday. Happy birthday to you. Alright, 0 (7m 44s): But is he just joking? 'cause maybe he didn't know this kid's name. He actually didn't know it. Or maybe it's really hard to pronounce. I would've probably done the same thing. You're just, that's fine. I I like that. Kamala certifies her loss in front of Congress. Christmas came late folks. 8 (8m 0s): Full number of the electors appointed to vote for president of the United States is 538. Within that whole number, the majority is 270. The votes for president of the United States are as follows. Donald J. Trump of the state of Florida has received 312 votes. Kamala d Harris, 10 (8m 27s): You have the standing ovation for the woman Kamala. That's funny. 8 (8m 40s): Kamala Paris of the state of California has received 226 votes. 0 (9m 0s): Kevin O'Leary plans to purchase TikTok and stop the ban in the us. Let's see, I like Kevin O'Leary, Mr. Wonderful. 11 (9m 10s): And we want to, and then on mid midday 1205, Trump will be who we have to work with to close the deal in the months ahead. So I wanted to let him know as well as as others in his cabinet that we're doing this and we're gonna need their help. 12 (9m 30s): Well that's gonna be a very interesting story to watch. You know, I wanna go back to that, but I wanna, 0 (9m 36s): I mean, I'm all for it. Honestly at this point. I don't understand the big issue with TikTok. I know I have it. That makes me a hypocrite and obviously a little bit biased. My entire TikTok feed is food interior design and occasionally I'll get into some like outfits. So personal styling, that's it. I understand they're stealing all your data and they probably can access everything. I don't have anything on my phone that is I important intentionally. Like I don't keep anything that if it were to get hacked that there would be an issue. I highly recommend that you also do the same thing. Everything should be on your laptop and very secure. 0 (10m 16s): But meta is doing the same thing. Meta is taking all of your data and selling it and harvesting it. Maybe not to the extent that TikTok is, but all of your data is being scraped and sold unless you're using a VPN or some kind of blocker or using something like brave, I don't know. I think you kind of have to just accept the current state of affairs for what it is. And that means you are being monetized. Folks, where are we at the herd of wild horses approach riders passing by. There are so many islands over here that have a bunch of wild horses and I've yet to see them and I keep making plans and it falls through. So maybe this spring. There's so many here in North Carolina and they're not even that far away. 0 (10m 58s): So I'm gonna, I'll be there in this spring. What is your favorite island in North Carolina or outer banks? And have you seen the wild horses? Which one should I go to? I'll leave it in the comments. 13 (11m 9s): Oh shit. 14 (11m 10s): I haven't got any breaks for that. I can't hold drink. 13 (11m 14s): Oh, this is actually really scary. 14 (11m 16s): I'm about to be mobbed. 13 (11m 19s): No, you amazing. But also you better be a professional if you find yourself, oh 14 (11m 24s): Look, that one's coming over. No, no, no. Go to Beth Ann. And she wants, she's the one who's coming over to you. Oh fuck. 13 (11m 34s): Oh God makes me so nervous. 14 (11m 36s): Ah, Ken. They're quite, aren't they? Ah, kennel Beth. That's lovely. That chestnut. It's, isn't it? It looks old, isn't it? Ha. Oh, it really likes kelp. 13 (11m 51s): That is beautiful though. 14 (11m 52s): YiIVEM got this on film. Oh my God. 0 (11m 59s): So cool. 14 (12m 2s): That's amazing. Yeah, that chest looks a bit of a bite. Yeah. Fucking oh, let's, shit. 0 (12m 8s): You're on the wrong horse though. That could, I like that. Been very different. Ukrainian president Zelensky starts praising, Trump says World leaders respect him and thinks he can end the war in Ukraine. What did I read that correctly? 17 (12m 26s): It won't be long because Europe will be looking at us and will be looking at Trump. And by the way, I now see that when I talk about something with Donald Trump, whether we meet in person or we just have a call, all the European leaders always ask, how was it? This shows the influence of Donald Trump and this has never happened before with an American president. I tell you from my experience, this also gives you confidence. You know that he can stop this war. 0 (13m 3s): He's saying, daddy, please, please keep giving me money. Boy, how the tides are changing. Two Chinese girls meet a black man for the first time. 16 (13m 16s): Oh God. 0 (13m 19s): I'm gonna turn the audio off and then I'll just read for everyone that's listening 'cause it's freaking adorable. So it looks like they're at a library, which is a beautiful library. And these two little kids approach this black man. And he says, ah. They say, where were you black? When and where were you born? And he says, yes, but where? Why are you black? I'm, he said, I'm from Africa. Have you heard from Africa? And we're not. And they say, we're not the same color. And my sister said, you're from the us. And he says, no, I'm not in China. We look Chinese. Why do you look like you're from America? And he says, I'm from Africa. Have you heard of Africa? 0 (14m 1s): How do you speak Chinese? And he says, he's been there for eight years. She looks confused. And then they go, are you the same kind of human? And they repeat the question, are we the same kind of human? He says and she goes, yes, we're all humans. How do you come? How'd you come from China? I came from a plane by plane. We're talking just kids rambling. It's very sweet. But see, this is how you address it, if you know what I mean. Kids are curious, they ask questions. 0 (14m 42s): They don't need a book to tell them that they're wrong for noticing it. This is where that whole colorblind thing doesn't really seem practical. 'cause you have eyeballs. So you notice differences, but you don't have to assign meaning to the differences or any kind of differential in the values of what it is to be human. Little kids are amazing. Lots of dog videos. I mean, I'm here for it. You better give that boy dinner. Let's see. Oh is bad, boy, 20 (15m 11s): No, you not getting dinner in English. You 0 (15m 13s): Was bad English bulldog. They're 20 (15m 15s): So cute. No, you're not getting dinner. 0 (15m 17s): Bad boy, 20 (15m 20s): You was bad. 0 (15m 21s): Listen, this is not our typical episode, but with everything that's been going on in the news between the T alleged terrorist attacks, some of them are still unfolding. You can get that somewhere else. We'll get into more of the serious topics next week, but I didn't wanna start the episode the week, the year off on a negative doom and gloom note. So I think this was good. We got some important relevant topics in lots of dog videos. I mean that's really a win for the internet this week. We have the interview episode coming out in two days. That will be with Kristen Ellis. It's very fun, light. 0 (16m 1s): We get into some kink. She is a dj, she is a model and she used to do some, if I am correct, it was kind of divine, masculine, feminine courses and she's taking a little bit of a break from that. But she's a very interesting person. It was a really cool conversation. And if you liked this, go check that out. Leave five stars, make sure you hit like and subscribe so you don't miss any notifications. We have a bunch of affiliates and sponsors below everything that I push. I actually use and love and approve awesome products. The chips are banging, I use them and breakfast. All my breakfast dishes a lot. So I'll do like chilies or scramble some eggs and kind of like do a nacho situation in the morning. 0 (16m 46s): Very good. They are cooked in beef tallow, no seed oils. So that's the thing that I'm pushing the most. Check it out. That prma is pretty awesome too. And actually I should probably go do that when I hop off of here. Get some circulation going in this bod. It is the new year and we wanna make sure we're doing all of the right things for our mind and our body. So yeah, check out those sponsors and links below and I will see you in a couple days. Bye everybody.
